Venture inside the walls of Moscow’s Kremlin, then learn about Russian space research. You’ll also explore tiny villages and islands, plus the Golden Ring cities. St Petersburg offers palaces with fine art and ballet performances in iconic theatres.

An APT representative will meet you on arrival and transfer to your hotel. This evening, come together to share a welcome dinner, where you will have the opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers.
Today, see St Isaac’s Cathedral, the Nevsky Prospect and Palace Square. After, visit Peter and Paul Fortress, as well as the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. Later, take a guided tour of the imperial estate, Peterhof Palace.
SIGNATURE EXPERIENCE: For something special this evening, appreciate Russia’s arts scene and attend a private ballet performance at the Hermitage Theatre, one of the oldest theatres in St Petersburg.
SIGNATURE EXPERIENCE: At the State Hermitage, go inside before the museum is open to the public and take in the exclusive Hermitage Peacock Clock Ceremony. Acquired by Catherine the Great, the Peacock Clock features three life-sized mechanical birds.
Take a Hydrofoil ride on the Neva River to the State Hermitage, the second-largest art museum in the world, home to more than three million works. After a Signature Experience, tour the museum. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Enjoy another Signature Experience this evening.
Enjoy a discovery of the Catherine Palace and grounds, constructed in the 18th century as a summer palace for the Empress.
After cruising through the night, dock in Mandrogi, a charming village teeming with traditional houses. Afterwards, spend time at leisure to browse handmade trinkets or visit the Vodka Museum.
Situated on Lake Onega, Kizhi is home to some of Russia’s most amazing wooden architecture. Today, explore the open-air museum of wooden buildings and marvel at the World Heritage-listed Transfiguration Church, built in 1714 without the use of a single nail.
Today cruise onto the White Lake and the Volga-Baltic Waterway. Then dock in Goritsy, a small and peaceful farming town. Your guided tour here includes a visit to the Monastery of St Cyril on the White Lake and its Museum of Icons. Enjoy dinner on board this evening.
Founded by Prince Yaroslav the Wise in 1010, Yaroslav is one of Russia’s oldest cities, tracing its roots back to the Vikings. Here, a sightseeing tour illuminates the city’s history through its architecture, including Spassky Monastery and the Church of Elia the Prophet.
FREEDOM OF CHOICE: On a guided tour, visit the Kremlin and the Church of St Demetrios on the Blood. Alternatively, visit the Hydroelectric Station and Hydropower Engineering Museum.
Dock in Moscow and enjoy a tour of Red Square and St Basil’s Cathedral.
Take a guided tour of the Armoury Museum within the walls of the Kremlin. Spend the afternoon on your chosen experience.
FREEDOM OF CHOICE: Visit the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics. Or, explore Tretyakov Art Gallery, Russia’s National Gallery.
Marvel at Moscow’s unique Metro stations, which feature chandeliers and marble statues. Later, perhaps tour a Cold War Bunker or enjoy free time to explore Moscow. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner, accompanied by traditional Russian folklore.
